It is also a common practice in the online business community to publicize the income of their top earners, and not those who are just starting out.  And that's a big difference, because most of the time, top earners are those who have been working for a certain online business for a lengthy period.

So don't get too happy when you come across a website claiming skyrocketing profits.    Remember that the Internet, despite being one of the most dynamic media we have, is not a fairyland where most of our outrageous dreams come true.  A legitimate home based business brings real opportunities, not irrationalities.

When you come across an online business which you find interesting, try to find out more about it.  Take note of important contact details such as email address.  Check any testimonies on the website, then double check if the said users do exist by looking for their email addresses.  If the website offers any newsletter, sign up and give yourself a better idea on how the business operates.
